The Bankers Association of Namibia (BAN) has appointed Dantagos Jimmy as its new chief executive, effective 1 July.
Jimmy brings over two decades of experience spanning investment management, financial markets, corporate governance and strategic advisory.
She is the founder of Ndapunikwa Investment Management and has held senior, executive and technical roles at esteemed institutions including the Bank of Namibia, Alexander Forbes Investments and IJG Securities.
The new BAN boss holds a BSc in international management from La Roche College, the UnitedStates, demonstrating a commitment to global business dynamics.
She is currently pursuing an MSc in development finance at the University of Namibia.
Beyond academia, Jimmy has contributed to governance and institutional leadership across a variety of sectors. She has served as a non-executive director and trustee for a range of respected organisations, including Simonis Storm Securities, TransNamib Holdings, Namibia Health Plan, and Allan Gray Namibia.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jimmy to the helm of BAN,” says BAN chairperson Ester Kali.
Kali adds that Jimmy’s leadership, strategic insight, and understanding of the financial ecosystem will be instrumental in advancing BAN’s mission to serve as the forum for advocacy on policy matters affecting the banking industry.
