The police in the Kavango East region are looking for Kandere Shinkanda (30), an awaiting-trial prisoner who escaped from police custody at Ndiyona on Wednesday afternoon.
The acting commander of the police in Kavango East, commissioner Eino Nambahu, on Wednesday said Shinkanda was arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder.
The police consider him dangerous and have asked anyone who sees him to contact deputy commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu at 081 293 0991 or 081 378 3818, or chief inspector Kakoro at 081 258 2334, or to report at a nearby police station.
