The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture has called on all artists to participate in an exhibition in honour of founding president Sam Nujoma at the College of the Arts (Cota).
In an internal memo issued on Wednesday afternoon, executive director of education, arts and culture Sanet Steenkamp, extended the invitation to photographers, students, and alumni of the college to submit works that commemorate Nujoma’s life and legacy.
“Artists are encouraged to submit pieces in any medium,” she said.
“Selected works will be showcased in an exhibition at the John Muafangejo Art Gallery at the College of the Arts Katutura Community Arts Centre (KCAC), celebrating the life of our founding president.”
Steenkamp said the Cota coordinating team will be ready to receive artworks by 24 February at the KCAC.
“The Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture extends its sincere gratitude to all participants for honouring this national icon through their creativity,” she said.
“Your contributions will help ensure his legacy continues to inspire future generations.”
