Aroab community buries two boys from underprivileged home

The community of Aroab on Saturday buried two boys who died while swimming in a sewerage dam on 15 December.

The bodies were retrieved by a team of community members, namely Kallen Esau, Gertjie Witbooi and Johannes Vilander.

The boys, Felix Kooper (9) and Paul Kooper (7), lived with their mother and stepfather.

The community rallied to raise roughly N$20 000 to give the two boys a dignified send off.

Kallen Esau, speaking on behalf of the family, says the funds were used to pay for funeral expenses.
