Appreciating the Gift of Humanity

Education is the key to success, but in my life, it has always been a pain in my heart to be in the classroom. We always have those students who nail their tests and exams, and of course manage to please their teachers and guardians.

Besides that, there are some students who don’t perform as well as expected but if you put them in an art class, you shall see wonders.

I am talking about individuals who are talented in art, who can draw, sing, dance, do crafts… the list goes on.

Most people turn a blind eye on them and never seem to notice their passion for arts and other talents, especially in local schools and communities.

I also did the same at first but realised that these people are unique. In fact, they are extraordinary and need to be appreciated for who they are. I mean, not all of us can draw that well and if it comes to singing, not all people can even sing the national anthem to the end.

As we live in this world, different passions and personalities exist, thus no person is the same. Therefore appreciating these individuals will mean the world to them, since most of the time they endure depression due to the treatment they get from people around them. All it takes is to offer a chance to those talented individuals. It is not always about money but sometimes a word of encouragement and motivation from a friend or guardian can do wonders.

Generally, to those talented people either in local schools or in the community, show your talents while you can, don’t wait for the right time to show what you have a passion for. That right time might never come and you might just end up waiting in vain for the right moment. Don’t fear, appreciate what you have and start now.

Ultimately, we must all learn to appreciate each other in life, irrespective of gender, religion or tribe, because each and every person has contributed to our lives either directly or indirectly.
