Anti Mugabe protest march today

THE Media Institute of Southern Africa (Misa), in partnership with Namibian civil society, will stage a demonstration in front of the Zimbabwean High Commission today to express their anger against atrocities in that country and silence on the part of the Namibian Government.

Misa has called on Namibian people from all walks of life to join the peaceful march to the Zimbabwean Embassy. The march will start at the Kudu statue (corner of Independence Avenue and John Meinert Street) at 09h30, after which they will march to the Zimbabwean High Commission (opposite Tre Supermarket) to present a petition.Protesters will then march to the Foreign Ministry to deliver a second petition condemning the Namibian Government’s silence, and its refusal to condemn the brutality.
