The Otjozondjupa police have confirmed the discovery of a woman’s body at Five Rand informal settlement at Okahandja.
Otjozondjupa police commander Phillip Haiidengwa says the police are still in the process of establishing the woman’s identity and the circumstances surrounding her death.
He says further details will be released as the investigation unfolds.
This discovery comes amid heightened concern over the safety of children and women at Okahandja.
This follows the murders of Ingrid Maasdorp (5) and Roslin Fabian (6) in separate incidents.
The police have not yet indicated whether the latest discovery may be connected to the children’s murders.
This is a developing story.
