Here are a few her favourite recipe’s which she says if cooked with a handful of love and passion, are guaranteed to set your taste buds aflame. Biltong Pate StarterIngredients250g Biltong powder250gr smooth cottage cheese250ml CreamWorcester sauce to tasteMethodMix all ingredients together and season to taste.Option 1Put into a bowl and use as a dip with biscuits as a snack.OROption 2Put mix onto foil and roll into a sausage shape.Put into freezer for 2 hours.Remove and slice, serve with Melba toast as starter with sliced biltong as decoration.Lamb and Pumpkin StewIngredients1kg of Lamb stewing meat500g cubed pumpkin1 x onion sliced1 teaspoon of fresh garlic2 cubes Vegetable stock Cinnamon groundCinnamon whole – 2 sticks100gr Brown sugarSalt and pepper to tasteMethod• Fry onion and garlic in oil. Remove and put aside.• Brown the meat in the oil.• Add onion & garlic to meat.• Put pumpkin cubes on top of the meat.• Add the whole cinnamon and sprinkle ground cinnamon and brown sugar over.• Put the 2 cubes of Vegetable stock in 1 liter hot water and add to pot.• Put lid on and simmer for 2 hours until meat is tender.• Do not stir.• Serve with parsley rice and stir-fry green beans with cherry tomatoes.
