ANC pays tribute to Geingob

The African National Congress (ANC) has expressed its deepest condolences to the Namibian people on the passing of president Hage Gottfried Geingob.Party spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri described Geingob as a prominent intellectual and revolutionary leader.

According to him Geingob left an indelible mark on the history of Namibia through his tireless dedication to liberation and his commitment to justice.“

Throughout his life, comrade Geingob remained committed to the principles of democracy, human rights and social justice.

He fought against corruption and worked to ensure that the resources of Namibia were used for the benefit of all its people.

His leadership was characterised by inclusivity, transparency and accountability,” he said.Bhengu-Motsiri added that Geingob’s support for the Palestinian people, and alignment with South Africa’s stance in the International Court of Justice, showcased his dedication to global justice and human rights.
