Alusa breaks Kenyan hearts as he and Tanzanian Laveda are evicted

Kenya’s last hope in the Big Brother house – Alusa – has bowed out of the competition, while Tanzanian saxophonist Laveda is the the sixth woman to exit.

The pair was booted after a very eventful week that literally climaxed with an alleged masturbation session in full view of other housemates and the cameras. Laveda, who was heavily intoxicated after a boozing session, says that she remembers none of the embarrassing antics and later apologised to Africa after Permithias convinced her to do so.

With voters being very unpredictable on who they vote to leave the reality show, Alusa’s comedic and sometimes hot-headed outbursts were unacceptable. Laveda’s romance with Permithias was also not enough to keep voters interested it seems, as votes went to other housemates.

We spoke to the evicted pair yesterday to find out about their time in the house…

You were an avid campaigner, constantly asking Africa to keep you in the house. Where do you think your campaign went wrong?

I did think Africa might get tired of the campaigning but I was planning to do it till the very end. It was not Africa but the energy in the house that pushed me out.

Becoming the first head of house made me proud to represent my country Tanzania.

I think the incident was exaggerated. To explain myself, I have so much adrenalin and I was only using it in an artistic way but I want to apologise to Africa and the young people out there.

Yes! I am coming to Windhoek very soon.

What was your beef with Tayo? Some would even say there was animosity between the two of you. What was the deal with that?

There was no animosity between us. We only had one fight involving JJ but we were cool the next day. In fact, I was the first guy to talk to Tayo after his fight with Frankie. I advised him and asked him to cool down.

JJ. He is super, deeply multi-talented. They can nominate him and push him as hard as they pushed me but he’s not going anywhere.

No. If anyone else from my country came, they would have left at the same time. I was as Kenyan as I could be.

I don’t know about flying under the radar but those who are playing the game differently are Macky2, Sipe and Permithias who we sometimes realise is in the house only in the evening.
