A SUSPECTED thief who allegedly was caught red-handed while breaking into a car is in a critical condition after being shot in the head at Keetmanshoop in the early hours of yesterday.
The Karas Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner Josephat Abel, said the shooting happened at JJ’s Flats. Police identified the suspected thief as Dario Basson.According to Abel, Basson was rushed to the Windhoek Central State Hospital in a critical condition yesterday.A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting.He will appear in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court today on a charge of attempted murder.Police identified the suspected thief as Dario Basson.
