All About The Millennial Power Group

The Millennial Power Group (MPG) is a non-profit organisation founded in September 2018, and its members are eager to inspire and motivate the youth of Namibia.

“We have opened up MPG because we found that a lot of youth are only waiting to see things happen but they never do anything. We believe that if you want to do anything, just do it,” said the public relations officer of the group.

Some of the goals of the organisation include boosting confidence and educating people on the importance of health.

Recently, the group held a talk at the UN Plaza in Katutura, with Moses Dos Santos as a guest speaker. He spoke about the importance of the youth, educating people about HIV-Aids testing and the importance of blood donation.

He also mentioned that “accidents are happening now and patients need blood” and the youth need to be more involved in youth development.

As a speaker himself, the public relations officer had the following to say: “If we want to have a better country then let us as unite, work together and build youth leaders. As youth, we must be involved in everything that is about bringing change to our society. Our leaders are getting old so we need productive youth leaders who will help to improve the living standard of our own people.”

MPG plans to teach people about the importance of HIV testing and blood donation as well as bringing the youth on board with projects to assist the government with youth empowerment.

Youth who are interested in joining the organisation can email youthmpg0@gmail.com. Sponsorships or donations are welcome.
