African Stars prepare for Tigers

AFRICAN Stars have put a contingency plan in place for their crucial Namibia Premier League clash against table topping Tigers on Friday evening at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.

In an attempt to avoid the traditional last minute ticket acquisition bottleneck, the club has already made ticket sales available at all Shoprite and Checkers outlets countrywide since Monday.

The match is scheduled to kick off off at 20h00.

“People are urged to buy their tickets in advance as they are cheaper in advance, and tickets at the venue will be more expensive. There are grand stand and VIP tickets available,” said club office administrator Charlane Minnaar.

“No alcohol will be allowed into the stadium, and no alcohol will be sold at the stadium. There will be tight security for the safety of our loyal supporters, therefore we urge all soccer fanatics to come and witness the biggest game of the season and watch their favourite team walk away with the three points,” she continued.

Additionally, only chairmen, managers and coaches from other clubs with NPL accreditation cards are allowed to access to the VIP entrance, which is also open to match officials, media and selected stakeholders.

“People that have received complimentary tickets from African Stars are also allowed to enter at the VIP gate,” she said.

“The African Stars Football Club herewith requests all persons to please adhere to the arrangements as set out above to avoid unnecessary chaos and long queues at the entrance gates,” Minnaar added.
