Yet it would appear that to date this “infant ” did not go beyond its cradle. Isn’t it about time that such office reaches out to the ordinary man in the street/ the workers class? To become more visible/approachable/ nation-friendly? Cementing ties with top structures exclusively is as good as smothering this “infant” in a garbage bag.The naked truth will never reach the ACC as 80 per cent of top management of Namibian businesses/ Government offices is the classic incubator for corruption. In the corporate world core values turned into a hollow Easter egg.Contradictory practices became the order of the day.Corruption flourished at an alarming rate into an uncontrollable pest.Should we put corruption and HIV-AIDS on a racetrack, corruption will take the prize with flying colours. With this trend we strengthen the evil chain of unemployment, crime and mediocre business standards.Eventual economic collapse is inevitable.I believe my fellow countrymen will agree that we do not wish to become Zambia’s Siamese twin sister.ACC, please invite us at grassroots level to assist in your enormous task to unravel and combat corruption. As the saying goes: “The grass is always greener around the septic tank”.Let’s dig beyond the decorative surface the top dogs portray.Charlotte Beukes-Muundjua Via e-mailIsn’t it about time that such office reaches out to the ordinary man in the street/ the workers class?
