ACC Must Not Enlist ‘Loyalists’

I WOULD like to thank the Government for enacting the law on corruption and the President for his stance of zero tolerance against corruption.

I have the following questions for the Director. Who is responsible for investigating and handling the alleged cases of corruption by the very commission which is established to deal with the same thing? Secondly, I would like him or his deputy to publicly confirm or deny the following serious allegations.There are rumours circulating in Windhoek that only senior Police officers who are known to be loyal to Swapo party will be employed by the Commission as investigators.Where there’s smoke, there is a fire.Can you please come out and tell the nation what is going on.As a taxpayer and peace-loving Namibian, I want the recruitment process to be advertised and be fair.I do not want to see what has happened to Windhoek City Police to happen to the ACC.I know some senior Police officers were called to join the City Police at the expense of ratepayers.I want and I believe that many Namibians want professionals to be employed as investigators, at least people with LLB degrees.Experienced persons should be hired, not just comrades and those with links and connections from Omusati.Do not fall victim to the very corruption you have sworn to fight.If you are going to enlist Swapo loyalists, regardless of qualifications and experience, then Namibia will be no exception.I am happy to see the top structure of the Commission is well balanced.I look forward and want to see a full-fledged Commission with competent and experienced investigators.Whistleblower WindhoekWho is responsible for investigating and handling the alleged cases of corruption by the very commission which is established to deal with the same thing?
