This year has seen a variety of phones released in the low-, mid- and high-end categories, and what can we say? We’re pretty impressed.
From Nokia’s rise back to fame with the sleek Nokia 8 to the new Galaxy Note 8, there’s definitely no shortage of good phones on the market. Although we’ve been hearing a lot about the announcement of high-end phones, there are many affordable devices that slipped under the radar this year.
The Samsung Galaxy J5, J7 and J9 have been doing quite well on the market. Available between 5 to 5,5 inches with fast processors and enough memory to make your head spin, they’re great choices if the Note phones aren’t your style.
Depending on how you like your camera quality, the J5 and J7 are your best bets. But if you’re looking for a phone to last you ages and act as a good storage space, this is the series for you. Oh, and battery life is bliss.
Although it was released in February, the Huawei P10 is still going strong. With 4GB of random access memory (RAM) and a whole lot of storage space (64GB in fact, which can further be expanded to up to 256GB), it’ll be a challenge for you to get that annoying ‘phone storage full’ message. Also, the camera comes at 20 MP, so you can expect a whole lot of punch when it comes to your photos. It’s biggest feature is also the great display and strength, so you won’t have to worry about shattering this baby any time soon.
Nokia was down and out for a while after the whole Windows saga, but like a phoenix, the mobile giant has risen from the ashes and returned with a great delivery of phones such as the Nokia 3, 5 and 3310 which are all running on Android.
For starters, the Nokia 3 offers a new design and although the camera may not come from Carl Zeiss, its photo quality still rules. The same goes for the Nokia 5 which also features a fingerprint sensor. Aluminum and clean, this quality 13 MP camera phone pretty much has everything you ever need.
Also, the classic Nokia 3310 is just a modern version of what the original could have been. It’s great if you’re nostalgic.
You may not have heard of the Ulefone, but so far, this mobile has been receiving pretty great reviews. And thanks to the new S8, it’s slowly but surely rising in the phone market.
But here’s what’s cool about the new S8 – it features dual cameras, manipulates lighting to create a good selfie, includes a fingerprint scanner and the display is out of this world, so says a user. Running on Android as well, there’s no telling what this phone can do.
