The Namibian police have arrested a total of 112 suspects in drug-related matters in June alone.
This was announced by police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi in a media release yesterday.
Among the arrested suspects, 106 are Namibian, one is Angolan, two Tanzanian, one Zambian and two are Zimbabwean nationals.
The seized drugs include cannabis weighing 191 837,97 kilograms, 2 285 tablets of mandrax and five units of crack cocaine.
“Let us stand together against illicit drugs, report it and save lives,” Shikwambi said.
