A woman (44) was arrested on Monday at Otjomuise for allegedly luring a six-year-old boy into a toilet, police have confirmed.
According to police deputy commissioner, Kauna Shikambi, the unnamed woman allegedly promised the boy N$5 to perform sexual acts.
The incident took place between 14h00 and 15h00 on Sunday.
Shikwambi said a witness narrated the event to his mother, who then informed the police.
The child has been provided with assistance from a medical doctor and a social worker.
The suspect has been formally charged and will appear in court tomorrow.
