Nored to leave non-payers in dark

The Northern Regional Electricity Distributor (Nored) will start cutting off the electricity supply of customers whose accounts are in arrears of 30 days or more.

Nored spokesperson Simon Lukas on Tuesday said defaulting customers are reminded to settle their accounts in full or make payment arrangements with the distributor on or before 17 June to avoid electricity disconnection.

“To enable Nored to continue delivering on its mandate, it is important that customers honour their commitment of paying their electricity on time,” he said.
