SKW win Bank Windhoek Ramblers u21 title

SKW won the Bank Windhoek Ramblers u21 football tournament for the first time when they beat Kasaona Football Academy 2-1 in the final on Saturday. 

George Gaweseb gave Kasaona the lead, but Cruz Uwukhaeb equalised for SKW to make the halftime score 1-1. 

SKW striker Matthew “Haaland” Plaath got the winner in the second half when he pounced onto a loose ball to make the score 2-1 for SKW.

Kaizen Football Academy won the bronze medal after beating Ramblers 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw at full time. 

In the semifinals, SKW beat Kaizen 4-2 on penalties after the teams were tied 1-1 at full time, while the other semifinal also went down to penalties, with Kasaona beating Ramblers 3-2 in the shootout. 

It is the first time that SKW won the title, after Kaizen won the title in 2022 and Athletic Club Football Academy in 2023.
