Mother of baby abandoned in bush arrested

A WOMAN suspected of being the mother of a one-month-old baby girl who was abandoned in bushes at Onuno village near Oshikango in Ohangwena Region on August 3 was arrested last Thursday.

The Police Commander for the Ohangwena Region, Deputy Commissioner Armas Shivute, said the suspect was a 33-year-old woman from Onawa near Ongenga.
