Khomas clinch netball final

The Khomas region clinched the Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup netball trophy after a convincing 47-25 win over a spirited Oshana on Monday.

This is the third time that Khomas is lifting the trophy.

Khomas dominated all quarters of the thrilling encounter but captain Kevian Alcock said the win was not easy, after Oshana put up a great fight in the dying minutes of the game.

Oshana’s Hendrina Shikwaya said the team was satisfied with its achievement in the competition.

“Although we lost, reaching the final was a great step for us and we count it as a success,” she said.

Khomas’ Tuvemue Kavetuna was named the player of the match.
