Monte Christo service station robbed of almost N$800 000

The Monte Christo service station in the northern industrial area was allegedly robbed of N$789 707 on Tuesday.

The robbery occurred while G4S security guards were due to pick up three cash boxes containing the N$789 707, says police spokesperson officer Immanuel Iiduwa.

“It is alleged that three suspects entered the service station and threatened the cashiers with a firearm,” he says.

They then proceeded to the office where the manager was seated and grabbed the three cash boxes.

The suspects fled the scene in a blue Mazda Demio, in which a fourth suspect was reportedly waiting.

No arrest or recovery has been made and police investigations continue.
