The Otjiwarongo Magistrate’s Court was broken into last night, specifically targeting the prosecutor’s office and resulting in the theft of items, including case dockets.

Prosecutor Joas Neemwatya confirmed the incident, adding that it is challenging to specify the stolen items.

He said he took his laptop home, ensuring its safety from potential theft.

A case has been opened with the Namibian Police.

“The door was allegedly forced open and items including case dockets were stolen. Investigation is ongoing,” police spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi said.
