FOUR people died in a road accident between Okahandja and Otjiwarongo on Saturday night, after the Iveco minibus they were travelling in collided with a gemsbok. The vehicle overturned.
The accident happened about 60 km outside Otjiwarongo, and resulted in injuries to a further 18 people, including a 19-month-old baby.The deceased were identified as Mathias Shipopyeni (24), Petros Shixungileni (40), Paulus Hamudenga (58) and Shangeleni Petrus (50). One of the survivors, Jacob Ndjabeni, was seriously injured, and was transferred to hospital in Windhoek.
