ALL upcoming artists from the northern ‘O’ regions are invited to register for the recently launched 065 Annual Music Awards 2014, scheduled to take place at Ondangwa on 27 December. The venue is yet to be decided.
One of the event organisers, Success da Silva said that the awards are only open to the artists that have never been nominated in the NAMAs and it is strictly for upcoming artists only.
The 065 Music Awards aims to award upcoming artists for their hard work and dedication and motivate them to keep on working hard.
“We realised that the NAMAs are mainly for established artists, but those who are still trying to make it to the top are left out in the cold,” said da Silva.
Nomination forms cost N$50 and are available at Ekamuti Lodge in Ondangwa.
Overall winners in each category will receive N$10 000 and a full album recording for the artist of the year.
