NAMIBIAN football enthusiasts will be able to buy tickets to the 2010 Fifa World Cup in Windhoek next week.
Sindana Communications’ Director of Communications and Media Liaison, Carmen Maartens, informed the media that tickets will be on sale for one week only.A temporary Fifa ticket centre will be established in the Windhoek Main Branch of First National Bank Namibia in Independence Avenue. Prospective buyers can acquire the tickets between June 1 and 4 from 09h00 to 15h30, as well as on June 5 from 08h30 to 12h00.Maartens said ticket applications received during this sales phase will be processed according to the order in which they are received and subject to availability.’That is to say tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis and tickets will be processed immediately at point of sale.’Whilst tickets to some matches such as the opening game and final are currently unavailable, there is still a wide selection of tickets available at matches in Rustenburg, Nelspruit, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and Polokwane,’ she said.Further information can be obtained at the ticket centre.
