Woman wanted for hotel theft

THE Namibian Police have appealed to the public to help trace Frieda Agnes Warner (25) in connection with the theft of cash at the Safari Court hotel in Windhoek on Friday.

The Police said Warner is alleged to have stolen an unspecified amount of money from an Angolan national who reportedly invited her to the hotel.
A reward of N$20 000 has been offered by the owner of the money. Warner speaks English, Afrikaans and Oshiwambo. She is short, has black hair, brown eyes and wears brown glasses.
Warner was last seen in Windhoek North. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is requested to contact Sergeant Kamusuvise at 081 298 44 01 or Detective Warrant Officer Jumuine at 081 2790 482.
* A 39 year-old man, Otto Niklaaste, died yesterday after the vehicle he was driving overturned on the road between Bethanie and Goageb. He died on arrival at Bethanie Clinic.
* On Saturday at about 05h00, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man at Erf 7657, Katutura. No arrest has been made and Police investigations continue.
* At the Okahandja Park informal settlement, robbers stole a jackpot machine, a cellphone and unknown amount of cash from the pool table and jukebox at the Zangate Shebeen on Saturday at about 03h00.
Police said three suspects pointed a gun at 17-year-old boy after they broke into the shebeen. No arrest or recovery has been made and Police investigations continue.
