Wine & spirit maker Distell profit up

JOHANNESBURG – South Africa’s biggest wine and spirit maker Distell reported an 8,3 per cent rise in annual headline earnings per share yesterday and predicted growth this year, but at a slower pace.

Distell said in a statement headline EPS – which excludes capital, non-trading and certain one-off items – rose to 271,5 cents in the year to the end of June from 250,6 cents the previous year.
