Vulnerable children benefit from Government support

ABOUT 51 790 vulnerable children have benefited from maintenance and foster grants this year, while Government bought N$120 00 worth of school uniforms and food for such children in different regions.

In her ministerial statement delivered in the National Assembly on Thursday, which was the Day of the Namibian Child, Gender Equality and Child Welfare Minister Marlene Mungunda said the money was taken from the Ministry’s ‘Children in Dire Need of Care and Protection Account’.
