Visual Artists – Namibia (VA-N) will be hosting their fifth annual exhibition of members’ work at the Woermannhaus Art Gallery in Swakopmund today.
Featuring work for sale by well-known Namibian artists, students and part-time artists, the exhibition includes paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures and ceramics.Peter Kewowo, the Chairperson of VA-N, will open the exhibition. VA-N currently has more than 160 members and is partnered with Bank Windhoek. Visual artists who would like to join the organisation are also eligible to serve on the executive committee. Some of the VA-N’s activities include the production of a full-colour catalogue of members’ work, art workshops in various regions, World Art Day Celebrations and informing members of opportunities for artists around the world. Members are encouraged to approach the committee with projects and proposals and to find out more about the various exciting art activities which are planned for the year.
