METROPOLITAN Namibia handed over profit shares to participating trade unions at a breakfast meeting on Tuesday at the Nampower Convention Centre in Windhoek.
A grand total of N$210 000 was divided between the trade unions Namibia National Teachers Union (Nantu), Namibia Public Workers Union (Napwu), Public Service Union of Namibia (PSUN) and Teachers Union of Namibia (TUN). The insurance company announced the following unions’ share in the profits of 2006: Nantu received N$100 000, Napwu N$50 000, PSUN N$50 000 and TUN N$10 000.The profit-sharing with trade unions has been in operation since 2000 and has resulted in more than N$1,7 million being handed over to participating trade unions as a result of their investments with Metropolitan Namibia.The insurance company announced the following unions’ share in the profits of 2006: Nantu received N$100 000, Napwu N$50 000, PSUN N$50 000 and TUN N$10 000.The profit-sharing with trade unions has been in operation since 2000 and has resulted in more than N$1,7 million being handed over to participating trade unions as a result of their investments with Metropolitan Namibia.
