Uni-visa envisaged for WC

WINDHOEK – South Africa’s neighbours are exploring the possibility of introducing a standard visa system in the SADC region to assist visitors for the 2010 World Cup.

According to the Kick Off website, Swaziland’s Minister of Tourism, Environment and Communications, Thandi Shongwe, is quoted as saying that SADC countries were constantly meeting to discuss issues around the 2010 World Cup. “We hope to put in place a uni-visa system for the region which will allow spectators and players coming for the World Cup to get one visa, which will allow them free movement in all the countries in the region.”Shongwe said.Nampa”We hope to put in place a uni-visa system for the region which will allow spectators and players coming for the World Cup to get one visa, which will allow them free movement in all the countries in the region.”Shongwe said.Nampa
