In another men’s Premier League match in Windhoek, DTS staged a great comeback to beat Wanderers 5-4 on Saturday.
In an action-packed match, Sedric Makati gave DTS the lead but Ettienne de Villiers soon equalised for Wanderers, who then took the lead through a goal by Stefan du Preez. Billy Beukes stretched Wanderers’ lead to 3-1 but Jason Bolton pulled a goal back for DTS to make the halftime score 3-2 in Wanderers’ favour.
DTS drew level after Bolton scored his second shortly after the break, but Wanderers once again took the lead through Stefan du Preez.
DTS however pushed hard in the closing stages and two goals by Luke Bolton in the final three minutes gave them a memorable victory.
Unam now lead the log with 23 points from seven matches, followed by DTS on 19 points from eight matches and Wanderers on 10 points from eight matches.
The Women’s Premier League is heading for an exciting showdown between Wanderers, who lead the log on 17 points, and Windhoek Old Boys, who are second on 13 points with a game in hand.
