PROMPTED by the publication of issues published in your various editions concerning the suspension of the Omaheke Youth leaders, allow me to air my dissatisfaction.
I am sure that the reporters of this article are deliberately withholding information because they’re friends or relatives of the two suspended leaders. The suspension of the two leaders is now linked with the sacking of Hidipo Hamutenya and his Deputy. Is this fair? The two reporters are trying to say that’s the reason for the suspension which is not correct. We the SPYL members of Omaheke know the reason for the suspension because we are the authors of the petition which led to their suspension. You should not try to mislead people by giving them false information. Therefore I would like to comment on the following issues:1.You mentioned in your edition of Tuesday, 20 July 2004 that it was indicated in the petition that Hepundjua assisted only those delegates who supported Comrade Hidipo which is not true. What do you want to achieve with such misleading information?.2. IF these guys were loyal SPYL members they would have acknowledged their wrongdoing and stopped dividing Swapo Party in Omaheke3. In every edition you report that Ambros Kandjii is a strong contender. The question is, against whom did he compete against in the past and how can you prove this since there were no elections that can verify it unless if you refer to the primaries which were nullified during January 2004 where he used NUDO members to nominate him.(Is it constitutional or is it fair to use members from other political parties and then claim that you have majority support?) Please do not think we are not aware of this malpractices.4. Why do you always mention other comrades who have nothing to do with the SPYL or their issues? All the people implicated as the reason for the suspension are not SPYL members. Why are they involved? Is it because the suspended people want to hold people liable for their wrongdoings?5. Comrade Kandjii will have to prove to himself and re-organise his sports office before taking on the responsibility of the entire Omaheke or the Gobabis Constituency on his shoulders. We the Omaheke loyal Swapo Party members would like to tell your office or reporters to stop reporting misleading information that can lead our Region and country into undesired conflict.Justice will always prevail within the Swapo Party.Lazarus Ueitele Via e-mailThe suspension of the two leaders is now linked with the sacking of Hidipo Hamutenya and his Deputy. Is this fair?
