THE Pupkewitz Foundation again showed its support for Namibian sport with its co-sponsorship of the Swakop Half Iron-Man Triathlon and Pupkewitz Jetty Mile, which are scheduled to take place next month.

Chairman of the Pupkewitz Group Harold Pupkewitz handed over a cheque of N$37 598 to Otb Sport, the organisers of the events, for the third successive year.The event, co-sponsored by FNB Namibia and Puma, is one of the oldest and most prestigious triathlons in the country. Over 15 per cent of the field are international competitors from countries such as Germany, the United States of America (USA), New Zealand and South Africa.Prizes are valued at N$40 000, with the first 100 participants receiving a Puma T-shirt and event bag. Participants may enter as individuals or as teams.
