Time To Forget The Past And Get On With The Future

THANK you for allowing me space in your well-read newspaper although it receives critical comments from the ruling party members.

Keep it up because you did not start your paper after independence but even during the hard times with the racist regime of South Africa you were there. I may say the majority of Swapo members all read your paper but they still insult you (hypocrites) We have been independent for almost fourteen (14) years now but it seems some of our brothers and sisters in the ranks of the ruling party do not want to accept change. Why I am saying this is the fact that when leaders nowadays address a rally or even a press conference they still refer to the old regime.Do they still think the white South Africans will one day come and overthrow the current Government or what is their problem or fear? It is time to talk about how we are going to develop our country and this includes the opposition parties in our parliament.People like Mr Kapia must stop attacking the opposition and start talking or discussing matters that can build the nation, instead of quoting his masters’s voice. The only time this chap has an issue is when a Minister or the President raises a concern and then he will jump on his wagon to start insulting and warning those who are not in agreement with the ruling party. What he must know is that not everybody who is raising his/her fist agrees with whatever is said by the top brass of Swapo, and besides that, those who are quiet are the people who are working hard unlike the “forever young Kapia” who only sits in his office.I can’t wait for him to set foot in parliament as a backbencher where he is going to be face to face with the people he always arrogantly insults. If only we had a law like in Asia where members of parliament can be muzzled then this man’s mouth would be shut for good because whenever he appears on NBC TV I change the channel because he will quote his masters. We must let the youth run this country and let the old cats go home and farming since most of them have been given farms under the present scheme. They old fought but where was this Kapia chap? Some of us know what this chap used to before independence, so he must mind his language or close his mouthPatriotic Citizen WindhoekI may say the majority of Swapo members all read your paper but they still insult you (hypocrites) We have been independent for almost fourteen (14) years now but it seems some of our brothers and sisters in the ranks of the ruling party do not want to accept change. Why I am saying this is the fact that when leaders nowadays address a rally or even a press conference they still refer to the old regime.Do they still think the white South Africans will one day come and overthrow the current Government or what is their problem or fear?
