The Dangers In Our Country Increasing

PLEASE lend me a space in your newspaper.

I am a very concerned citizen of the country and I am very proud to be a citizen of this country. For the past two to three weeks I was very shocked to learn how one person murders another in cold blood. What’s happening to us? I am very scared because crime is increasing in our country.I can remember when I grew up it was very scary to hear that a person is killed just for a handbag is taken.Nowadays one is killed and only a handbag is taken and this is just happening to women not men. Both women who were murdered cold-bloodedly were just killed because of their handbags and suspects are men in both cases. What did women do to men to be murdered like this?I am also very shocked about the death of the Tigers Football club player. One cannot even walk at night without being killed. What did he do to ask for a death like that? The Namibian law should bring back the death penalty, because people kill each other like animals. One kills another and is punished for a few years in jail while the family of the deceased mourns for the loss of their beloved through crime and a few years of jail is all that the law can do.After serving his/her jail sentence this person is out again in public and will commit the same crime and again a few years of jail sentence. Our country is becoming very dangerous.Even people born and raised in Namibia are afraid in their own county, now what about the people coming from abroad?Concerned Citizen WindhoekNote: Name and address provided – EdFor the past two to three weeks I was very shocked to learn how one person murders another in cold blood. What’s happening to us?
