THE body of a man who was found dead in Windhoek’s Northern Industrial area on Sunday is that of Neels van Rooi.
According to Chief Inspector Barry de Klerk, the 58-year-old man discharged himself from the tuberculosis (TB) ward at the Katutura State Hospital about a week and a half ago.His family identified his body at the Police mortuary in Windhoek yesterday.Although no foul play is suspected, a post-mortem will be conducted today to determine the cause of death. ‘There were no obvious signs of assault or any wounds.’Van Rooi’s body was found on Sunday afternoon by an employee of a company in the area who was looking for firewood, De Klerk said.
