Swakop palms at half price this week

TO celebrate Arbour Week (September 7 to 11), the Swakopmund Municipal Nursery is offering palm trees at half price for the whole of this week.

Swakopmund Mayor Germina Shitaleni yesterday planted three palm trees at the Tamariskia Play Park to mark Arbour Week. She encouraged Swakopmunders to follow her example and also plant trees this week.’Trees are important for many reasons, and they will improve our surroundings,’ she said. ‘That’s why palm trees will be available at a give-away price of N$45 per tree, per family, at our nursery, for the remainder of the week.’
