NAMIBIAN international Mohamed Ouseb is currently waiting for an offer from South African Premiership club Mamelodi Sundowns, but rivals Kaizer Chiefs his former club, is also interested in his services.
Ouseb was initially given an offer by Chiefs after he was invited to train with them last week Tuesday, but did not accept it, as he also wanted to see what Sundowns was going to offer him. Ouseb told The Namibian Sport yesterday that he was not happy with what Chiefs offered him, but might consider joining them if Sundowns does not give him a better offer. He said he will know before the end of this week what the offer will be like from Sundowns.”I know the players and the management at Chiefs and they already welcomed me when I was there. It will now depend on Sundowns to prove what they can come up with before I make up my mind,” he said. The Namibian defender-cum-midfielder was reported to be sharp at last Tuesday’s training, after his lacklustre performance for the Brave Warriors in a Cosafa Castle Cup match against Angola in early May.Ouseb was the only professional player alongside German-based Oliver Risser in the encounter, in which Namibia lost 2-1 in Luanda, Angola.Ouseb left his former club, Lyn Oslo in Norway after they terminated his contract early this year.On his knee-injury, Ouseb said he has recovered about 90 percent at this stage, but still sees a physiotherapist in an attempt to get him fully fit.Ouseb formerly played for the Naturena (Chiefs), side from 1998, before he was scooped by Lyn Oslo in 2001.Ouseb told The Namibian Sport yesterday that he was not happy with what Chiefs offered him, but might consider joining them if Sundowns does not give him a better offer. He said he will know before the end of this week what the offer will be like from Sundowns.”I know the players and the management at Chiefs and they already welcomed me when I was there. It will now depend on Sundowns to prove what they can come up with before I make up my mind,” he said. The Namibian defender-cum-midfielder was reported to be sharp at last Tuesday’s training, after his lacklustre performance for the Brave Warriors in a Cosafa Castle Cup match against Angola in early May.Ouseb was the only professional player alongside German-based Oliver Risser in the encounter, in which Namibia lost 2-1 in Luanda, Angola.Ouseb left his former club, Lyn Oslo in Norway after they terminated his contract early this year.On his knee-injury, Ouseb said he has recovered about 90 percent at this stage, but still sees a physiotherapist in an attempt to get him fully fit.Ouseb formerly played for the Naturena (Chiefs), side from 1998, before he was scooped by Lyn Oslo in 2001.
