A NEW programme on M-Net focusing on Africa, Studio 53, is looking for a Namibian presenter, M-Net said in a statement this week.

The lifestyle programme, hosted by Zimbabwean-born television personality Alyce Chavunduka launched on Thursday and will run 30-minutes weekly for 52 weeks. It will showcase the best of African fashion, travel, food, decor, music, movies and more as its ever-moving cameras roam from East to West, down South and up North, capturing the fun colours, sights and sounds of the continent.Each episode will feature four to five inserts, providing a comprehensive overview of the events, people and places that make Africa vibrant, fascinating and dynamic.Studio 53 will also report on cultural happenings in and around Namibian cities.M-Net is looking for Namibian men and women between the ages of 19 and 26.”If you think you have the flair that encompasses a uniquely Namibian style, are eloquent, have a good command of the English language and have a basic knowledge of presenting, this is the chance you have been waiting for,” said the M-Net statement.One candidate will be chosen from auditions to be held in Windhoek on February 26 at the MultiChoice Namibia office in Windhoek.Those interested must deliver a short CV and two photographs of themself to MultiChoice Namibia offices in Windhoek or Swakopmund or visit their nearest MultiChoice agent by February 20.Potential candidates will be shortlisted and M-Net representatives will hold the final auditions.It will showcase the best of African fashion, travel, food, decor, music, movies and more as its ever-moving cameras roam from East to West, down South and up North, capturing the fun colours, sights and sounds of the continent.
