Road runners invite
The Katutura Road Runners Club are organising a 15 km road race and 5 km fun run for October 9. The event will be sponsored by SuperSport, and thus all athletes in Namibia are encouraged to participate.
The registration will be held on October 8 at Western Suburb Swimming Pool between 16h00 and 19h00, and the following day from 06h30 to 07h00. Registration fees are N$10 for school kids and N$20 for adults. Call Willem Andries

Pedal power races in WindhoekWindhoek Pedal Power will have its ‘Top of Matchless Road’ race on Saturday on the Daan Viljoen Road. Registration will take place before the start of the race at 13h30, with the riders set to start pedaling at 14h30. A fun ride road and mountain bike will also take place at the Cohen Faust ball club in Olympia on Sunday. Registration for the race is at 07h30 before it starts at 08h00 and the entry fee is N$20.For more information contact Marlene Pretorius on 081 245 558. Colo Colo Tournament Okahandja based Colo Colo Football Club will have a netball and soccer tournament on October 2-3 at the Nau-Aib Stadium and the Town Stadium.A beauty pageant will also be held at the Aurora School Hall. The winner of the football contest will earn N$10 000 with N$5 000 and N$2 500 going to the second and third placed teams respectively. The netball winner takes home N$2 500, the runner-up gets N$1 750 and N$875 goes to the team that finishes third. Interested football teams should pay N$1 000 to register, N$350 for netball and N$60 for the beauty pageant. The tournament is sponsored by Fritz & Antonia Transport.
