IS there nothing the ‘South Park’ guys won’t tackle?
Everyone knows the answer: of course not!
The 14th season premiere – tomorrow night (Wednesday) – taking on Tiger Woods, is no exception.
No subject is beyond ridicule for ‘South Park’ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. It should be expected for them to have characters Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny encounter the golfer in their animated world.’It’s such an important issue in America right now – the sex addiction outbreak,’ said Stone. ‘We’re all really concerned about him and hope he gets better. There’s a delicacy in talking about (Woods) that we don’t have to worry about.’No details are known about the actual plot of the episode.A teaser clip with the label ‘All The Temptations’ promoting Wednesday night’s first show of South Park’s 14th season has already been viewed by more than 62 000 people according to a counter on the network’s web site.In the ‘South Park’ selection, an animated Woods stands at a podium much as the real one did last month in Florida when he made a public apology, speaking about how he felt he could get away with anything and deserved to enjoy ‘all the temptations around me’.Only at the end of the clip does the scene expand to show Eric Cartman, one of ‘South Park’s’ main characters, standing behind the cartoon Woods and looking up at him as he speaks. As has been well documented, the real Woods’ marital infidelity led to a firestorm of criticism. The golfer has taken an indefinite break from golf to work on his personal life in the wake of the scandal that saw more than a dozen women claim to have had affairs with the world’s number one golfer.Full details of the episode were not revealed because the creators were still writing on Friday, but Stone said Woods’ apology would likely be worked in.In the past, ‘South Park’ has mocked Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology. Recently, the show took jabs at Kanye West and devoted an episode to recently deceased celebrities, including Michael Jackson and Billy Mays. – Nampa-AP,celebritycafe
