I am asking the Permanent Secretary and Nantu to find out what is going on in the Omusati Education Office regarding the transfer of a lower primary principal to a secondary school with no interview. Stop favouritism.* WHO are the wives of our ministers? We need to know the wives behind the Honourables because they are also important. Media help us.
* I WOULD like to congratulate Mr Stanley Simataa for having being appointed Deputy Minister. As a former student of his I am really thankful to the President for this appointment. Mr Simataa is a proud son of the land whom I consider down to earth. Wasn’t he as Deputy Minister of Finance in a position to influence policy and make the necessary curbs?- C* HON Jerry Ekandjo (Minister of Local Government) must recognise the Nami-daman traditional authority which existed since before Independence as it is the purpose of the Traditional Authorities Act.- Migu* TO the Minister of Environment (Netumbo Nandi Ndaitwah) please do something about the smelter from the mine here in Tsumeb. It is polluting the air to such an extent that the situation is forcing us the residents to be indoors. Please take this message seriously as our health and that of our kids is at risk.* LEADERS of this beloved country please consider another city. Let’s have two cities. Why can’t both the Ministries of Defence and Safety and Security be deployed to conduct night patrols in river- beds to ensure there are no places for criminals to hide. As well as to provide strict control measures over taxi movements in the late hours as criminals might use taxis. We want a crime-free society. The high crime rate might scare investors away and this will contribute to unemployment. Let our soldiers protect us instead of just relaxing at camps. Please help us out.Politics* IN response to SPYL Secretary Dr Elijah Ngurare’s comments regarding The Namibian’s interest in Juluis Malema, the Oppenheimer family employs thousands of people and generates millions to the benefit of those people and our Namibian government whereas Julius Malema’s aim is (allegedly) self-enrichment to the detriment of those who so loyally support him. One would think that someone in your position would frown upon such behaviour.- BK* DID the Hon Dr Ngurare forget that his friend Julius Malema called Namibian citizens cockroaches that must be crushed under the heel?Politics in General* THE ANC is extremely biased with going to the Con Court. The De La Rey song is banned at all rugby events. And what does that say?Education* NOT only is basic education deteriorating in Namibia, higher education is going down too. Unam was once rated in the top 15 in Africa now they are 39th. It comes as no surprise to me as I am a former Unam student. However congrats to the Poly. They are in the top 15. This is a very exciting development.* PARENTS with learners at Concordia have you seen the condition your kids are living in? The hostel is dirty with no locks on the doors, only holes. What about our children’s safety? Please Mr (Education Minister Abraham) Iyambo it’s your time to make a difference and take this Ministry to greater heights. Get rid of the lazy hostel fathers, hostel mothers and cleaners. There are many wandering the streets looking for jobs.* POOR management at Namcol. We experienced a problem. We have been waiting for three weeks! Where is the service!* TO the city of Swakopmund: Please do something about the heavy duty traffic thundering down the eastern part of Rhode Allee 24/7. Bearing in mind that the majority of residents are elderly people, they do not have a single night’s rest! I wonder what the responsible officials would do if they had to put up with all the noise, the fumes and the shaking and shivering of the whole house while the trucks thunder past!* THERE is one God. Our Constitution has made provision for freedom of religion. We at Eengedjo are suffering. The school is so anti-denominational. We are not allowed to go to church and it seems as if the school belongs to a certain church. We are not even allowed to sing some songs. We are threatened with losing our places in the hostel. It seems like democracy is not understood in our country.* OSHIKUKU graveyard is not a threat to developing the town. One reason why the graveyard is growing is people die on the road every day. Please do your work, put speed humps like those in Oshakati or traffic lights. How can drivers speed up to 120km/hr through your town. Leave the church alone, they have been there more than 100 years, and turn to positive things like setting up a sports field and giving attention to roads, especially the one to the Catholic hospital.- OJ* ONDANGWA Town Council check the road from the prison to the main road.- Taxi driver N942 Nd* TSUMEB Municipality must reduce the chemicals which they put in water. Every time I take a cold shower my body itches. I went to the doctor but there is no solution.* ARIAMSVLEI Handelshuis – The one-man shop with sky high prices and our pensioners with accounts there are suffering. The price controllers are doing nothing. Please new entrepreneurs come and help our elders.
Health Matters* MINISTRY of Health please do something about Outapi Hospital. They are giving out expired medicine. How on earth can a person get pills which expired last year.- Worried patient.* MINISTER of Health Outapi District Hospital is dirty. Please take action.* SUIDERHOF military base get your bins cleaned once a month. Even those in the kitchen smell.* SPAR in Tsumeb (management) why are you allowing people to smoke inside the store? Some of us bring small kids into the store and we are suffering from asthma. Please if you do not want non-smokers in your store be transparent.Suggestions Box* INSTEAD of every second streetlight, why not remove all and replace with spotlights like the ones in Walvis Bay, Kuisebmund and Narraville. They’re cost-effective and prevent house break-ins and crime in general.A Place to Call Home* LAND grab in Windhoek. How long must we without own houses enrich those (landlords) who are already rich? Give us erven so we can pay for them. At least one day they will be our own property. The landlords there are those that own more than four houses. I know many of them.
* WANTING to buy land through auctions in Windhoek is not working because only the rich benefit. That’s why the poor are grabbing the land. I don’t condone it but the City of Windhoek must revisit that.City Fathers Please…* THE Goreangab Waterfront looks like a desperate attempt to acquire property in the name of development.* WHY don’t municipal buses transport people to and from Rocky Crest while there is a bus stop next to the school. That bus stop has been there for ages. Now that there is a school we need a bus service also for our children.* PLEASE Municipality look at the toilets and ground in Havana and Kabila. It is very unhealthy.GeneralYOUR faith shall set you free. I for one doesn’t support some theological ideologies or doctrines perpetuated and imposed upon the ‘saints’ or ‘church’ of God. There are clergymen going around claiming to have so called ‘Special Anointing’ or ‘Powers’ misleading the saints as well as desperate people. They make a big chunk of money out of the poor and ignorant. The only message for the coach while it is early is to pack your bags and go. We don’t want defensive football tactics and excuses of passports of players.* POOR referees in the 2nd division NFA League. Its pathetic to see how teams lose matches just because of referee blunders. NFA please do something.On the ball!* I AM not sure whether the Namibian Sports Commission is serious about netball in Namibia or whether they want to serve their personal interests. It’s high time the Sport Directorate appoints people who understand what they do.
NBC* NBC can you first settle all your outstanding monies then start to force people to pay their TV licences. It is shameful for the national broadcaster to owe such huge amounts of money.* NBC channel on DStv please include information on current and following programmes. I’m convinced this would not only demonstrate the level of professionalism NBC has but would also make it more interesting to follow or view NBC.- Jack* I AM very disappointed with NBC at Oshivelo. It is always going on and off. We sometimes miss very important programmes.
