SWAKOPMUND’S traditional clay pigeon club, the ‘Tontaubenklub’, has been relaunched as the Swakopmund Shooting Club, featuring a unique variety of shooting sports at the coast.
Besides DTL and Autotrap ranges for clay target shooting, the Swakopmund Shooting Club offers a 25-metre pistol range. An archery range will be opened shortly.
Non-members are also welcome to join in and enjoy shooting sports in the picturesque Swakop River valley.
For newcomers, instruction and assistance as well as the necessary equipment is at hand.
The Swakopmund Shooting Club, with all its shooting ranges and a comfortable clubhouse, is situated close to the Rossmund Golf Club, just eight kilometres outside Swakopmund.
The ranges will be open for training twice a month.
The next training will take place on May 9, from 11h00 to 15h00.
A shooting calendar is available at certain outlets, or can be requested from the club. Interested people can contact Dagmar at (064) 40 5757 or 081 373 7979, or Sabine at (064) 501 333 or 085 560 4385 for more details.
