RELEGATION-THREATENED Chief Santos produced a stunning 2-0 victory over three-time league champions Blue Waters at the Oscar Norich Stadium in Tsumeb yesterday, a result that has temporarily minimised their risk of being dropped from the MTC Namibia Premiership.
Santos led 1-0 at halftime after a header from Hafeni Shikomba in the first ten minutes, before Clarence Naruseb scored their second midway through the second half. Santos, however, dropped points against Eleven Arrows on Saturday as they went down 3-2 at the same venue, but a win against Blue Waters have now given them 12 points from their 17 matches.Santos were second from the bottom before the weekend’s matches, leaving SKW at the bottom after they managed to obtain a point through their 0-0 draw against Tigers on Friday night.Tigers drew 1-1 against Orlando Pirates late yesterday, and now have 24 points from their 16 matches, while they also have a game in hand, which is a tie against Black Africa.There is still no date set for that match, after
