When we came to the Trust Centre building we became one of the victims of thieves, not only once, but twice (September 2007 and April 2008) respectively. Investigation into these thefts are still continuing.Financial year 2007/08Stolen new computers and laptops• Nine (9) computers• Seven (7) hard drives• Five (5) laptopsThis means that we had computers new and old in stock prior to the theft.Replacement – Financial year 2008/09• Ten (10) computers• Five (5) laptopsFinancial year 2009/10 – Purchases• Thirty (30) computers• Fifteen (15) laptopsDonation from our development partners• Fifteen (15) computers from Etsip• Eight (8) computers from Unicef• Two (2) laptops from UnicefOur Ministry has embarked on purchasing computers annually as we employ additional staff members. Therefore, this SMS is devoid of any truthAN ShithigonaMinistry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare
