RUNDU – The Regional Councillor for the Mukwe Constituency, John Thiguru, has expressed dismay that gravel roads destroyed by recent heavy rains have not yet been repaired.
Thiguru told Nampa that the delay had resulted in vehicle accidents. In the latest incident, a car ended up in a ditch between Andara and Divundu.Several passengers were injured, Thiguru said.He stressed that the damaged roads in his constituency had been brought to the attention of the Roads Contractor Company (RCC), as well as the Roads Authority, on several occasions.To date nothing had happened.Thighuru urged the two companies to start working on the roads as soon as possible to avoid possible loss of lives.- NampaIn the latest incident, a car ended up in a ditch between Andara and Divundu.
