Rain In The Bones

Rain In The Bones

I AM living in Suiderhof (Windhoek) and am responsible for gathering weather information for the Weather Bureau for the said area.

I predicted last year that 2008 will be a good rain year, like in 2006. Every month I send in my report to the airport just outside Windhoek, and if it has rained I have to do this every day, so that they can send it to the Weather Bureau.I have done this for 24 years. From 6 to 17 February 2008 the rainfall I measured was 188 mm, 18 to 21 February there was nothing but again from 22 to 25 February it was 49 mm.The total for February that I measured was 266 mm and I expect more rain to come.I suspect that there will not be any rain for a few days between March and April but it can also rain continuously.I can feel it on my ankle and it goes up to my knee! If there is anybody who has more questions about rain they can contact me.Wulf Kannegiesser 081 295 9968 (061) 252 843Every month I send in my report to the airport just outside Windhoek, and if it has rained I have to do this every day, so that they can send it to the Weather Bureau.I have done this for 24 years.
